A new food bank is being opened in Staffordshire.
The Leek Pentecostal Church will be the latest place in the county to offer free food to people in need.
Organisers say around 70 families in the town could be in need of support from the facility.
Those in need will be able to pick up a voucher and exchange it for up to three days worth of food on a Tuesday and Friday.
Mayor Pam Wood, threw her support behind the scheme but admitted the food bank’s opening left her with mixed emotions.

Eight food banks already exist across Stoke-on-Trent, including one run by the Swan Bank Methodist Church in Burslem.
Administrator Glynis Cooper believes the need for such facilities should not be underestimated.

She added: “I think it’s affected so many people because of various jobs like the steelworks and Potteries going down. We live in quite an isolated area and it doesn’t just affect those who are unemployed.
“It’s right across the board – it’s not just one particular aspect of our community.”
The food bank is set to open in early May and a call has been made for volunteers to help run it. Anyone interested in finding out more can call 01538 399481.
